Vendors were delighted with the result at Clare Auction in February, when 97% of all lots were sold, setting a new record for this auction house.
Clare Auction have an enviable reputation for its sale rate, regularly achieving more that 85% compared to the national average estimated to be 66%. But the February sale was extraordinary, even for them.
Managing Director and Auctioneer, Robin Stone, commented “I knew the sale was going well, but even I was amazed at the final tally, we were delighted to retain our position as one of the highest selling salerooms” he continued “We were even more delighted with some of the prices achieved, I had many happy vendors approach me after the sale to thank us”
A Cost Effective Saleroom
Clare Auction was formed in 2014 by Robin and Frank with the aim of being a sustainable but cost effective auction house that could continue to bring people into the market town of Clare, Suffolk. Today, it is one of the busiest salerooms on the circuit, thanks to its friendly nature, wide range of lots and low vendor and buyer fees.
“I am blown away, they sold 11 out of my 12 lots and made nearly double what I was expecting” said Paul Mosely “and the best bit is there is no commission to pay, so I get to keep 100% of the sale price”
